Like mother like daughter: Rock chick Kate Moss takes her mirror-image mum to boyfriend's gig

Kate Moss made it a family affair last night - stepping out to her Mboyfriend's gig with her mother in tow.
The model took glamorous mum Linda to the Astoria in London to watch Jamie Hince perform with his band The Kills.
And as Kate, 34, looked ever the rock chick in sleek leather trousers and a black jacket, livened up with sparkly sleeves, Linda more than held her own in the style stakes.

Kate Moss: My Daughter Is My Mini-Me

Kate Moss has a reputation for being a partyer, but her night life includes reading a story to her 4-year-old daughter Lila before bed, she says in a new interview. When Lila was born, "I felt like, now I've got a partner in crime," Moss tells the British edition of Vogue in its April issue. "I'm never going to have to be on my own again." And she really reads her a story every night? "'Course, absolutely every night." (She also notes that Lila's father, publisher Jefferson Hack, is "a great dad – somehow that was Mother Nature's intervention.") "She's a Mini-Me," says Moss, who's currently dating Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty. "I think she looks like her dad, but there are some bits of me. Pete said the other day, 'Jefferson really looks like you, I'm thinking of asking him out.' " Moss, 33, recently designed a clothing line for Topshop, and Lila has clearly picked up the fashion bug from her mother. "She comes in at bedtime and says, 'Mummy, do you think this is a good look?' and then she has a fashion crisis," Moss tells the omagazine. "I say, 'You will wear what I tell you,' but she says she's the adult of the bedroom. Now we lay the clothes out before she goes to bed but then she goes, 'Mum, I need options.'

Kate Moss has been one of the most recognizable faces in the fashion industry since the late 1980s. She is best known for transforming the typical stereotype of the supermodel with her waif-like figure. Now in her 30s, Moss is still one of the most successful and legendary supermodels in the world right up there with Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford.

Kate was born in London, England in 1974. Although she was never successful in school, frequently receiving D’s and F’s on her report card, Moss was discovered by a modeling agent early in life. In 1988 she was returning home from a family vacation to the Caribbean when she had a layover at the JFK airport and was spotted by Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Model Agency. Sarah signed the fourteen-year-old Kate to her agency then and there. Moss has been with Storm ever since.

Within the next year, Moss was quickly becoming the “it girl” of the industry. Her look was so different from the other models that her petite frame was considered fresh and new. She quickly won contracts with Calvin Klein, Gucci, Dolce & Gabanna, Chanel, and David Yurman. Her work did not stop at the runway. She has also been a favorite of music videos, appearing in Johnny Cash’s video “Delia’s Gone” and a video by the White Stripes titled “I Just Don’t Know What to do With Myself.”

Kate’s personal life has been most intriguing to reporters, possibly because she is such a private person who rarely agrees to interviews. She was previously engaged to Johnny Depp, star of Pirates of the Caribbean, and she also dated actor Billy Zane. She has a daughter, Lila Grace, born in 2002 with Jefferson Hack, the editor of Dazed and Confused.
